Candy Corn and Peanuts

There are several things that scream fall and Halloween, but one thing that is a necessity in our house is candy corn and peanuts. I know what you’re thinking, “Why do we need a recipe for this?” Well, part of the reason, believe it or not, is some people have never tried this heavenly concoction. The other part is because this is something that my family starts looking for as soon as they see the candy corn hitting the shelves.

If you’ve never had the candy corn and peanuts mixture, it’s similar to eating a Payday candy bar. You have your sweet and your salty in each bite.

You can use any brand that you would like or that you’re able to find. In our house, we like to use Brachs candy corn and Planters salted peanuts. However, we are not total snobs and will happy snack on any brand.

What you’ll need:

1 bag of candy corn
1-2 containers of peanuts (I usually use 2 peanuts to 1 bag of candy because that’s just how I like it)

How to get your cooking on:

Pour the bag of candy corn and the container(s) of peanuts into an airtight container.
Shake to blend the ingredients.

I’m adding this last part because how to eat the candy corn is an ever-running debate in my house. One of my kiddos likes to have the ratio of one peanut to one candy corn. One kiddo likes to have the ratio of two candy corns to one peanut. One kiddo likes just the peanuts because she doesn’t like the candy corn. My hubby just grabs a handful/mouthful at a time to enjoy. I personally like the one candy corn to 4 peanuts ratio.
